🟠 IELTS Writing Task 1 – Letter

Task:

A builder recently completed some work at your home, but you are not satisfied with the result. Write a letter to the builder. In your letter:

  • Explain what you are unhappy about
  • Say what you would like the builder to do to fix the problem
  • State when you would like this work to be completed

Instructions: Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

🟠 IELTS Writing Task 2 – Essay

Task:

Some people believe that giving gifts is an important way to show care and affection for friends and family. Others think that there are better ways to show that we care.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Instructions: Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In the fight against crime, police forces and governments are increasingly using security cameras in public places. Some people are opposed to this, saying that it invades our privacy. What do you think?   Security cameras have become ubiquitous in many nations now-a-days. Whereas before they appeared only in banks and at high-security areas, they are now entering into public places such as malls, streets, stadiums and transport. Many people feel this snatches their privacy, but personally I believe though there are some negative impacts they are very essential.
